SettledThe front doorFor publishers
Your rulebook is yours.
Settled is built so that it stays that way. Here is exactly what it does with a book, and how to reach us.
What Settled does with a rulebook
- The player brings the book. Settled ships no publisher’s text and no box art. When a player needs the PDF, the app sends them to the publisher’s own site for it.
- The book stays with the player. It is read on their device. When they ask a question, the text travels with the question to be answered and is not kept. It joins no library, and no model is trained on it.
- Every ruling sends the table back to the book. A ruling quotes one sentence and names the page it came from, so the player checks it against the copy they own.
- The cover on the shelf is the player’s own: a page of their PDF, or their photograph of the box.
What Settled knows about a game in advance
For many games Settled already knows where to look: page numbers, and a lesson and common questions written in our own words. None of it is the rulebook’s text, and none of it works without the player’s own copy open beside it.
Working with us
- Errata and official rulings. Send them and Settled will cite them as yours, apart from the rulebook.
- A correction. If Settled reads your game wrongly, tell us and we will fix it.
- A concern. If anything here troubles you, write. A person answers, and we would rather hear it early.
